Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security and Peace Dr. Horace Chang has welcomed the reduction in violent crime, labeling it a “turning of the tide toward sustainable crime reduction”.

Several residents have been staying at the institution since Hurricane Melissa destroyed or damaged their homes. Earlier this month, the residents were told that they have until today to leave the facility as the institution begins clean-up ahead of the new school term in January.
