The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) is calling for a deeper analysis of the justice system, noting that justice delayed is justice denied.

The appeal comes after 9-year-old Kelsey Ferrigon’s partially naked body was discovered upside down inside a barrel at her home on Job Lane, Spanish Town, St. Catherine on Friday.

A British man has been charged for allegedly smuggling the U.S. equivalent of J$20 million concealed in shampoo and conditioner bottles in the island earlier this month.

He is 42-year-old Trevor Whyte, a musical artiste and businessman from Enfield in London, England.

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says provisions will be made to have the family of 9-year-old Kelsey Ferrigon relocated following her murder. 

Speaking during a visit to the family yesterday in Spanish Town St. Catherine, the Prime Minister said he understands that living in the house where her body was found can be emotionally challenging.

Some of the students who were injured in a crash along the Holland Bamboo main road in St. Elizabeth, this morning, sat their Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, CSEC exams at hospital today.

17 students, 14 from the Hampton School for girls and three from Munro College, sustained injuries, after a Toyota Noah collided with the coaster bus in which they were travelling.

The incident occurred  about 7 am.
