On the October 10th, 2020 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays, host Angelo Di Carlo chats with Father Joe Carey, CSC, in our Focus on Faith interview. Fr. Joe has loved Notre Dame his entire life. It's the only college he applied to. He is now 80-years-old and is a 1962 graduate of Notre Dame. He was ordained a Holy Cross Priest in 1969 and has spent nearly his entire life on campus. His family history dates back even further with his dad being a 1932 Notre Dame graduate. Fr. Joe tells a great story of his dad's interactions with Knute Rockne. Plus, Fr. Joe has seen so much himself from Montana's rise in 77 to Catholics vs Convicts in 1988. And what a unique role Fr. Joe played with the Catholics vs Convicts T-Shirts. He also has some great stories about Digger Phelps. Fr. Joe remains active on campus as chaplain for the Alliance of Catholic Eduation (ACE) and chaplain for the women's lacrosse team.

It's finally Gameday again for Notre Dame football! On the October 10th, 2020 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays, hosts Angelo Di Carlo and Kevin Downey preview Notre Dame's matchup with Florida State. It's ND's first game since September 19th after sitting out two weeks because of a Covid-19 outbreak. We'll give you the latest on where the Irish. You'll hear from Brian Kelly on how things went this week getting his players back up to form and from the Irish players on what it was like in the moment as the Irish were experiencing their outbreak. Plus, Kevin Austin is expected to make his debut tonight. A lot of excitement from Notre Dame on this that you will want to hear. Our Focus on Faith interview is with Fr. Joe Carey, CSC. Fr. Frank was captain of the 1973 Notre Dame national championship team but his journey to get there is a special one. As a senior in high school, there wasn't a spot for Frank on the team. But he hope and he prayed and ended up receiving the final scholarship in the 1970 Notre Dame football freshman class. 4 years later, he led ND to a national title.  Frank shares memories of now returning to live in South Bend 50 years from when he first set on campus, why Notre Dame is such a special and great stories about his coach Ara Parseghian.

Tim McCarthy. Our Focus on Faith interview is with former Irish captain Frank Pomarico, who as an offensive lineman, helped lead Notre Dame to the national championship in 1973. Great conversation about his faith and also the inspiration that his coach Ara Parseghian provided. 

South Florida offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. joined hosts Angelo Di Carlo and Kevin Downey for our Focus on Faith interview in the September 19th, 2020 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays. Charlie Jr. is back at Notre Dame Stadium Saturday for the first time since his dad was fired as the Irish head coach in 2009. But Charlie Jr. has great memories of Notre Dame and shares them in this wide ranging interview. He also discusses God's plan and how his dad's firing led Charlie Jr to meeting the woman that would eventually become his wife. Plus, Charlie got his coaching career started as a high school student coach at St. Joe under Kevin. So it was a fun trip down memory lane for Charlie and Kevin.
