Hello, and welcome back to the Irish Tennis Updates Podcast.
This week I’m chatting to Dave Mullins. Dave currently lives in Arizona, and is the Managing Director of the ITA, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. His US college tennis journey started as a player. He then moved into the coaching world before starting in his current role in 2019.
We talk about what Dave does in his current role, his time college coaching, his experiences playing in the college tennis system, his memories of junior tennis in Ireland, and towards the end we touch on the positives and negatives Dave sees in Irish tennis today.

September 13, 2020 Grainne O'Neill Interview

Today I’m chatting to Grainne O’Neill. Grainne grew up playing tennis in Naas, reached the peak of Irish junior tennis aged 18 winning the singles, doubles and mixed at Fitzwilliam, followed that by spending four years playing tennis in Ohio State University and now works in Tennis Ireland promoting women in the sport.
I found this a really enjoyable chat and I learned loads about the brilliant work she is doing at the moment. As well as her tennis journey, we discuss Interpros and more, and we finish with a quick-fire round.

Hello, and welcome back to series 2 of the Irish Tennis Updates. I'm excited to be back and I think I've got a great guest for you this week.
I'm chatting to Yvonne Doyle, winner of 10 professional titles including the Irish Open in 2001. She has career high singles and doubles rankings inside the top 250, played Fed Cup for Ireland for many years and served as captain of the Fed Cup team for six years. As well as coaching tennis, Yvonne also teaches yoga and meditation and is soon releasing a programme specific to tennis players that I'd reccomend checking out at yvonnedoyle.com
We chat about the highs and lows of Yvonne's junior, college and pro careers, her life post retirement, the role that yoga and meditation have played in her life, her advice for juniors and much more. I think Yvonne has a lot of offer, and I hope you enjoy this episode!

Today I’ve got a really special episode with the founder of the Get a Grip Tennis Academy, based in David Lloyd Riverview, Aistis Slajus.
Aistis grew up in Lithuania, won the national senior championships aged 15, represented his country in Davis Cup and was captain of the Fed Cup team before moving to Ireland over 10 years ago. And he is now one of the top coaches in the country.
His story is fascinating, his attitude and outlook on life and performance is inspirational and I think we can all take a lot from this episode.

Hello, and welcome to episode 19 of the Irish Tennis Updates Podcast.
Today I’m speaking to James Cluskey. James reached a career high doubles ranking of 145 and won 16 pro doubles titles, including 2 Challengers. Since retiring in 2015, he has broken the world record for the longest doubles match, at over 60 hours, and founded his own high-performance company. He has also written a book, that’s coming out in the next couple of weeks.
We talk about James’ junior days, his time in US College, his highlights from playing on tour, what it’s like coaching Richard Branson tennis, his thoughts on Irish tennis and much more.
