In this final episode of the inaugural Best of run, Alex sits down with Logan to discuss the famed or infamous My Oregon Trail piece that serves as the genesis of much of Logans writing style over the ensuing year and a half. Alex probes and pushes Logan to think and remember the good from this piece as the two reflect on their growth, passion for writing, and weight of trying to match your own prior writing. A deeply intimate and illuminating conversation.

In the piece itself an appreciation for the classics, but moreover an appreciation for a story told dozens of times, one of trial and error, triumph and failure, and fear and hope runs through. Logan tells you his story of destiny when crossing the country in a classic adventure game, and how every feeling, moment, and twist of that journey still resonates today.

In this Best of discussion Alex and Logan come together to discuss one of their favorite Jarrett Green pieces. A silly, absurdist piece of joyous flippancy and admiration of the Earth and gamers love of it. By far the most unique and unlike any other Best of Convo.

In the piece itself Jarrett details the recurring theme of video games giving love and defense to Earth. Joyful, cleverer than anything you'll read today, and with a careening and relentless drive to give a shoutout to this spinning blue marble. A fun and nice reminder for all of us.

In this Best of discussion Logan sits down with Alex to talk about their favorite of the six episode run of Alex Talks Season 3. Emotions, what makes games unique, and the dreams and failures of projects and writing is all on display.

In the piece itself, Alex goes over the power of each players personal experiences outside of games in shaping their connection to a title. Timing, personal reflection, and the mistakes and smaller stories that fill out a journey all building together to craft something unique and utterly our own. Alex seeks to declare that all of our favorite games are actually a tiny piece of ourselves and how we are all a part of our favorite games.

In this best of discussion Logan and Alex talk of the sprawling, sweeping, and moving love letter that is Alex's thoughts and feelings upon playing through Uncharted 4. They also go into the Uncharted series at large and dive into their writing styles.

In the piece itself Alex dives into the complicated thoughts that Nathan Drakes story left him with. Intimate, meditative, and full of soul searching on what the series meant to him, it is a phenomenal journey through Alex's eyes as he makes sense of how the ending of Uncharted affected him.
