We often look for external validation. Meaning we look for approval from somebody or something. But be careful with thinking this way. If we rely on external validation too much, we can start to get attached to an external outcome.
There are people who live to please the people around them. That’s why there are people who drive an expensive car but still live paycheck to paycheck. They are so dependent on getting external validation from others, they think that they need the car. But what they really need is to buy a cheaper car and make sure they’re better set up financially.
We are all worth it and amazing. The sooner you can feel this way about yourself the sooner you won’t need validation from the people around you. You’ll start to do things that you feel good about regardless of what people think of you. One of the healthiest things you can do for yourself is live for YOU and no one else.
