In March of 2024, I experienced my first miscarriage. After being ignored, mistreated and sent away by my local hospital, I was left to deliver the fetus alone in my bathroom. Feeling lost, angry, dejected and hopeless, I turned to God.

Grief is both raptor and scavenger. First snatching you from the assuredness of unsuspecting safety, then lingering. Sometimes in the dignity of lonely nights, other times in the brazen exposure of daylight, picking at every last morsel that clings to your ego. There is nothing quite like death to audit the faith you claim to have in God. And very few things are more miraculous than the patient boldness of God when His character is in dispute.
