Is Jalen Brunson the Greatest Knick Ever?
That's clearly a loaded question given the number of GREAT players who have worn the Knicks' uniform over the years.
But if his performance in the 2026 NBA Playoffs, especially the championship-winning series versus the Spurs, doesn't put Jalen Brunson at the top, he's certainly in the top 2 alongside Willis Reed.
Brunson did what no other Knick has done in 53 years - lead the team to an NBA championship.
Of course, between his teammates and the utter collapse of the San Antonio Spurs, Brunson had a lot of help.
Let's talk about the Spurs for a minute.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to blow a 29-point lead in the second half of a game? It brings to mind the Red Sox comeback against the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS and the Patriots overcoming a 28-3 Falcons lead in the 2017 Super Bowl.
And despite the Knicks capturing the attention of nearly everyone in the New York City metro area, a lot of Yankees fans still found time to complain LOUDLY about Anthony Volpe.
