Is Jesus equal to God?

Jesus declaring himself to be God (Jn 10:30 – I and the Father are one) reveals,

1.     Jesus can forgive sins like God – Mt 26:28 / Lk 2:48-49

2.     Jesus is the giver of life – John 5:21, 25, 28-29, 6:33, 10:10, 11:25, 14:6

3.     Jesus is the judge – John 8:15-16

4.     Jesus grants blessings – John 14:13, 27, 17:13

5.     Jesus exorcised demons – Luke 11:14-20

6.     Jesus declares himself to be Lord of the Sabbath – Mk 2:27-28

7.     Jesus received worship – Mt 14:33, 28:9, 17

Jesus is given, in the Scriptures, the following names,

1.     Alpha and Omega (Rev 1:8, 22:13)

2.     Anointed One (Ps 2:2, Dan 9:25)

3.     Author of Faith – Heb 12:2

4.     Author of Life – Acts 3:15

5.     Author of Salvation – Heb 2:10

6.     Firstborn – Ps 89:2, Rom 8:29, Heb 1:6
