The Psalms show little nuance on eternal matters. Two ways, two paths, two chairs. One leads to righteousness and eternal life, the other leads to wickedness and destruction. 
In this sermon, David Payan, an elder at CRBC, unpacks Psalm 1, its connection to Ephesians 2, and the implications of choosing the wrong chair.

Every Christian has a story of how they came to know Christ and follow Christ. Four of the first disciples came to know Christ because of the testimony. God's effectual call is irresistible, and the call to the gospel and the Messiah is a call to be rescued and delivered. In pure Puritan fashion, here are 6 applications from the text to help you in your evangelism.

1.     Focus on Faithfulness (not results).

2.     Proclaim the whole gospel message.

3.     Rely on the Holy Spirit to open the eyes and regenerate the heart.

4.     Purposeful Supplication prayer. (FPRU: pray in faith; make the prayer personal; make the request specific; pray in urgency )

5.     Patience
6.     Always Point to the Messiah

Divine sovereignty is not a hindrance but rather the foundation for confident evangelism, providing the assurance that results belong to God. 

Faithfully communicate the gospel message about God, sin, Christ, rescue, repentance, while leaving the results to God – for he alone has the power to change hearts.

Welcome to Covenant Redeemer Baptist Church. We're continuing in the Gospel of John series with the prologue to the Gospel, chapter 1:1-5. We are a new church plant in Port Coquitlam, meeting at the BC Christian Academy Elementary Campus.

Jesus is equal to God.
Jesus reveals the Living God.
Jesus delivers from the wrath of God to the forgiveness of God.

Well, here we are! The first sermon from our first Sunday meeting together as Covenant Redeemer Baptist Church. We are a new church plant in Port Coquitlam, meeting at the BC Christian Academy Elementary Campus.
