In case you haven't heard Simone Biles withdrew from the olympics. Many people including Piers Morgan have criticized her for withdrawing. What people do not realize is there is a reason to why she had struggled so much at the Olympics. If you did not know, Simone Biles has ADHD, and the medication she was taken was banned during the Olympics. These people have opposed these drugs due to various reasons of increased focus when taking them. Joe Rogan stated that in the past baseball pitchers use to take them to increase their focus. I get peoples analogy on why this substance may be banned in the Olympics but I couldn't have a cunning eye regarding her decision to remove herself from the Olympics. I imagine myself if I was diagnosed with my bipolar disorder and was required to stop my medication cold turkey, not only is that deadly but it would have adverse affects. Simone was probably experiencing significant anxiety regarding her decision to remove herself. While it may be imperative that a professional should not quit or give up, I feel people need to lay off her a bit. ADHD can be debilitating. Take someone I personally know. She is a 100k earner, working a very important job. She was required to go off her medication to prove she had a disability. Load and behold, her employer knew something was not right when she was off them. So I can imagine Simone was experiencing the same. She is known as the GOAT of her sport. Could it be apparent that her medication was improving her focus at the previous Olympics. Or was getting off the drugs so apparently debilitating that it caused her to mishap during the Olympics. It is noted a past individual in the Olympics ended up hurt because she chose to force things when things were not situated well and gymnastics is a very dangerous sport compared to other professions out there. Feel free to make your decision at your own will, but Kyle and I seem to take a more sensitive lens regarding her disability since we both have mental illnesses. Anyways what do you guys think?
