As we begin a new book, Paul writes again to the church in Thessalonica as persecution increases and confusion grows about Jesus’ return. In this episode, we walk through 2 Thessalonians 1:1–4, where Paul begins not with correction, but encouragement. He praises the believers for their growing faith, increasing love, and perseverance through trials.
These verses remind us that while only God knows the timing of Christ’s return, we are called to keep living faithfully in the meantime. As our faith grows and our love for others deepens, our lives become a testimony of God’s work, even in difficult seasons.
Reflection Questions:
1. Is your faith growing stronger, or has it become stagnant? Are you settling for 'good enough?'
2. Is your love for others increasing?
3. How are you persevering in the midst of trials?
