Isaac Carlson Podcast

Are cars born or built? I mean does every car have parents who created them or are vehicles being produced in major factories all across the world? Can we say definitively that these cars are just hyper intelligent robots or do they actually have a biological component to them that proves that they’re alive? Does someone make the cars or are there little car babies somewhere? Today I want to explore this evolving debate in the World of Cars which actually caught my attention when it was acknowledged by Pixar themselves, so let’s talk about it!

Shrek’s family tree has expanded quite a bit since Shrek originally married Fiona! Shrek’s met some new friends, he’s had a few children, and he’s gotten to know some of his in-laws, and today I’m going to go through who everyone is, how everyone’s related, and answer what this all means for the future of Far Far Away. After 20 years of Shrek, we’re finally bringing it all together.

What happened to Earth in The Wild Robot? I mean when I saw the Golden Gate Bridge underwater, I immediately assumed something bad must have happened here! I knew we were in the not so distant future since we were shown that Roz was a hyper intelligent robot, but I wasn’t expecting there to be monuments in ruin, satellite dishes deteriorating in the desert, and whole cities underwater! I mean humans even had contamination protocols that were so strict that the presence of a flock of geese in some farm fields led to the deployment of a military robot who was opening fire?! What happened to humanity? Was there a nuclear war that destroyed the world? Was there a devastating plague? Did global warming wipe out most of the population? To me it felt like some kind of post-apocalyptic scenario must have taken place… but this isn’t the case.

Moana 2 has changed Moana’s life forever! She has transformed into something completely new, we learned there are powerful enemies rising against her, and it’s been made very clear that her journey is just beginning. But what exactly happened to Moana? Will Matangi and Nalo, the God of Storms, be coming after Moana and her people? And what does it all mean for her future? How will everything that happened lead into Moana 3? It’s time to break down Moana 2’s ending!

Will How To Train Your Dragon’s live action remake be good? After years of experiencing animated films being turned into live action films from company's like Disney, is How To Train Your Dragon doomed or can DreamWorks and Universal pull it off? Well I think there may be hope for this version of How To Train Your Dragon. Dean Deblois, the creative champion of the original Dragons trilogy, is returning to direct this new version of the story, but I'm not sure if anyone can be done to help the remake escape the shadow of the animated classic.

I'm working on a new podcast show! I also chat about Wicked, Gladiator II, and the new live-action trailer for How To Train Your Dragon!

ABOUT ME

I'm Isaac Carlson, a creator based in Orlando, Florida, and ever since I can remember I’ve loved Disney. My fondest childhood memories come from visiting Walt Disney World with my family. I grew up loving Spider-Man, Star Wars, Pixar, and the classic animated films from Disney. The stories, characters, and worlds I adored as a child eventually inspired me to create videos of my own here on YouTube, and it changed my life. On this channel, I explore the characters and worlds that ignite the child within all of us! My goal is to create a community built on wonder, positivity, and optimism where passionate fans can unite to celebrate the magic of animated films. Here, we believe dreams can come true.

Have a magical day!

How are cars alive in the World of Pixar's Cars? I mean we’ve always known that cars had eyes and mouths, but for the longest time I never asked: "Why?" I accepted that all vehicles were conscious entities who had their own desires and dreams, but over the last few years, I’ve begun to become obsessed with how the cars function and where they truly come from. Are they some kind of super intelligent robots or are they organic creatures? Are they assembled in a factory or do they biologically reproduce? I mean do cars have souls?

Did you know that Moana could’ve been a 2D animated film? It’s true! Early into production there was a debate around whether Moana should be animated using the popular 3D techniques of the time or whether they should continue the legacy of hand drawn animation that the studio had pioneered. But this debate didn’t just affect Moana. The decision to create this story in CGI led to the complete abandonment of traditional animation at Disney, and today I want to explain how that happened.

Why couldn’t Lightning McQueen beat Jackson Storm? I mean I understand that he was getting older, but Lightning was one of the greatest race cars of all time! How is it possible that the winner of seven Piston Cups couldn’t figure out a way to best him?

What is King Magnifico’s backstory? I mean long before Magnifico unleashed forbidden magic, brought the Kingdom of Rosas to its knees, and transformed into a true Disney Villain, where did he come from? What motivated him to build a kingdom and to study magic? And why was he driven to become a villain? I’m going to answer all of these questions and more as we break down all of the hidden complexities behind the vein, ruthless, and powerful: King Magnifico.
