Isaiah 35–39 turns from judgment to hope and then to history. Isaiah 35 promises joyful restoration: the wilderness blooms, the weak are strengthened, and the redeemed return with everlasting joy.

Chapters 36–39 recount historical events during the reign of Hezekiah, including Assyria’s threat against Judah, the LORD’s dramatic deliverance of Jerusalem, Hezekiah’s illness and recovery, and his later pride before Babylonian envoys. The section ends with a sober prophecy that Judah’s future lies in exile, setting the stage for the book’s next movement.
