Sir Isaiah Berlin was a prominent twentieth-century philosopher and historian of ideas known for his profound influence on liberalism and political theory. Born in Latvia and eventually settling in England, he built a distinguished career at the University of Oxford, where he served as the founding president of Wolfson College.
