Isaiah 49:3-5Jesus Messiah is seen as the idealized Israel in the passage. Whatever Israel failed to do or to be as God’s representatives in their humanness, Jesus did perfectly. He was a light to all nations, glorified God, and served His Father perfectly in all things, and He was the actual means of atonement for sin. Nonetheless, we see that Jesus went through frustrations, sorrow, discouragement, and anger at human sin. Yet, we see that a right perspective on who God is can make all the difference in this life. Also, a wonderful perspective on the Trinity is revealed here.
