    • Conversation with Henry Bonner and Mark Russo of Riskpulse
What a great opportunity to sit down and have a wonderful chat with Henry Bonner and Mark Russo of Riskpulse.
Riskpulse is a supply chain risk analytics company that helps its clients and their partners increase the predictability and stability of their financial and physical operations globally.   Many of the largest food shippers, consumer packaged goods manufacturers, automakers, and retailers trust the Riskpulse Score (RpS) and the Riskpulse suite of cloud-based software applications to standardize their quantification of risk and guide their operational planning.   Headquartered in Austin, TX, Riskpulse is rapidly becoming the standard way for members of the supply chain to get the signals they need to optimize for risk.
      Mark Russo:
Mark is the SVP of Weather Operations at Riskpulse based in Chicago.  He ensures weather forecast accuracy, product timeliness, and customer-focused impact-oriented communication for supply chains, business operations, and commodity trading/hedging.  He also is an American Meteorological Society Certified Consulting Meteorologist.
After graduating from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology, He has spent the past 21 years applying global weather and climate to supply chains, agriculture, and energy. Prior to joining Riskpulse in 2013, Russo worked for Chesapeake Energy and Citigroup/Smith Barney where he provided accurate and timely weather forecasts .
Throughout his professional career, Mark has been active in the American Meteorological Society.  Outside of work, Mark is a huge sports fan, especially baseball, and resides in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife and three children.
      Henry Bonner:
Henry has over 25 years’ experience in the risk management technology space.  Originally in the FinTech sector focused on the emerging field of risk management in capital markets in the 1990's.  He transferred these skills and experience to the energy commodity sector as the energy markets deregulated and was a founding team member of the leading technology company in the physical commodity risk management space.
The exposure to the business of commodity supply chains led to the development of risk management solutions oriented to physical movements. More recently, Henry became involved in the Agribusiness commodity technology sector as CEO of one of the largest software companies in the sector, with solutions for managing risk in supply chains, particularly for the Consumer-Packaged Goods and Food & Beverage industries.
As the Chief Product Officer of Riskpulse, Henry leans on his deep risk management technology experience across physical and financial markets, to guide Riskpulse as the leading innovative solution for supply chain predictive and prescriptive analytics and risk measurement.

      • Conversation with Terry Sullivan, President of The Loss Prevention Foundation

While at the 2019 RILA Retail Asset Protection Conference, we spent some time and had a great conversation with Terry Sullivan, the President of The Loss Prevention Foundation .

The Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) is an international leader in educating and certifying retail loss prevention and asset protection professionals.  LPF’s mission is to advance the retail loss prevention and asset protection profession by providing relevant, convenient and challenging educational resources.  Founded in 2006, and governed under the leadership of a 34 member board of directors, LPF is the only 501 (c) 6, not-for-profit organization of its kind; exclusively recognized by and dedicated to the retail loss prevention and asset protection industry.

The Loss Prevention Foundation’s retail focus is set by a board of directors, composed of LP individuals who largely hold senior level positions at retail companies or in companies that serve the retail sector.  Unlike bigger trade associations, whose boards are composed of retail CEOs, the Loss Prevention Foundation is exclusively created to serve the education needs of the retail LP/AP profession.
