Kenya Evans and I met in South Korea in 2013. Ms. Evans is a writer and has international experience traveling to thirty countries. Her writing has been published in local publications. Kenya was included in a group of Black Women writers in Blasian: Black Women Living in East Asia. On this episode, Kenya and I discuss travel, YouTube content creation, and Podcasting. Thank you, Kenya, for being my guest on this final day of Black History Month, which is also Black Women's Day! You can also find Kenya on YouTube at her channel -- "The Space in Between".
The poem entitled 109 was written without me knowing that the Bel Air fire department's call number is 109.
Zoom to Thailand is a YouTube channel created by Richie Mac. It's a small world because Richie Mac and I got experience working in the Entertainment Industry thanks to Robert Townsend. In this episode, I recount how during today's livestream on YouTube, Richie Mac read my SuperChat message to him at exactly 10:09am. Of course, Richie Mac had no idea, and I didn't plan it. It just worked out that way.
I shoot the breeze with my mom. We talk about Real Estate, auntie Dee Dee, and of course, 109.
In this episode, Randi and I analyze Jean Michel Basquiat's 1982 art piece entitled All Colored Cast. There are references to historic events, sports figures, linguistics, and more.
My in studio guest, Big Mike, and I discuss our experiences living in South Korea. The opinions expressed within are solely those of the guests.
At 11:09PM while watching a documentary about Jean Michel Basquiat I spotted those familiar numbers -- 109. Serendipity. Synchronicity.
