Distanced from the Mercy of God: “May the one who has water and earth at his disposal however is still in a state of (material) poverty be distanced from God!”

The Reality of Fasting: “Fasting (al-siyam) truly means to keep away from the prohibitions (sins) just as a person keeps away from eating and drinking [in the state of fasting].”

The Due of God-Consciousness (Taqwa): “That which you did not benefit from today of the temporal world will return tomorrow, increased; [however] that which passed of your life yesterday will not return back today. Hope is for that which comes in the future while regret is for that which has already passed so therefore, ‘Have the consciousness of Allah as He deserves to be in a state of awe and do not die except in a state of submission (as Muslims).’”

A Good Outcome: “When Allah intend goodness for a servant, He grants him the good fortune that when he is about to leave this world, he does so in the best of ways and actions [on his record] and also grants the person to respite to take the initiative of His obedience before death.”

Take Account of Your Own Selves: “The individual who takes account of his/her own soul will have profited; while the person who is heedless of his/her own self will have suffered a loss.”

The Fusion of Laziness & Ineffectiveness: “Whenever one thing is united with something else - [and in this case] - laziness is combined with ineffectiveness, the [expected] outcome of this union is poverty.”
