How can Muslims deliver the solution to Society?

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in the Qur’an in Surah al Hashr [59:21]:

لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

“Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and split asunder (crumbling) by the fear of Allah. Such are the parables that We put forward to mankind that they may reflect.” [Al-Hashr, 59:21]

Allah سبحانه وتعالى  makes it clear that if He had sent the Qur’an upon a mountain with its immense size and magnitude, that the mountain would be impacted and would humble itself and would divide or crumble from the fear of Allah.

Let us ask ourselves, the Qur’an was not revealed for the mountains but revealed for us-- Do we feel the impact of the Quran in our life?

The Saleh (Righteous) vs. The Musleh (Reformer)

Prophet Saleh, (may peace be upon him), was a descendant of the great prophet Nuh (may peace be upon him). He was sent by Allah to the nation of Thamud who lived in Al Hijr, located in Arabia.

Prophet Saleh (may peace be upon him) was a well-respected and respected and accomplished person within his community.  However, when he brought the message of Islam (Musleh), things changed. 

Let's examine what changed and how we can take lessons for our lives today.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when US Union Major General Gordon Granger announced the end of slavery in Galveston, Texas, in accordance with then US President Abraham Lincoln's 1863 Emancipation Proclamation.

Over 150 years has passed since this commeration and today, this date has taken center stage as the US Congress passed a bill this week to commemorate the end of slavery and recognize June 19 as "Juneteenth National Independence Day".

Let's examine what's changed since 1865 and what’s the role of Muslims and Islam towards humanity today.

The ultimate blame game came from Iblis (shaitan- the devil) towards the Creator Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) in the most famous account in the Quran (Al-A'raf 7:16) where Iblis says “Now that You have led me astray, I will certainly sit for them (in ambush) on Your straight path“.

Through the acceptance of the Shahadah(a testimony of Islamic belief), Muslims acknowledge that Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is the Creator of all things, that His(سبحانه وتعالى) hand is the dominion over all things.
