“It’s not safe anywhere.” Refaat Alareer told A Public Affair from Gaza.
On today’s show, host Esty Dinur grapples with the past week of violence and war in Israel and Palestine. First she is speaks with Green Olive Collective’s Yahav Zohar and human rights lawyer and activist Jonathan Kuttab. Then, we are able able to connect with Refaat Alareer, who, despite Israel’s 24-hour order to evacuate, joins the show from his home in Gaza.
Please note that Refaat is hard to hear at times. We enhanced the audio to the best of our abilities, but the infrastructure in Gaza has been been greatly damaged. Regardless, what he has to say is important, and we hope you take care in listening.
