It's the 75th anniversary of Israel and if you look at what's taking place in that country, with that country's leaders, namely with that country's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his fight to bring about much-needed judicial reforms, it's uncanny: the comparisons with America are obvious. As leftists hate Donald Trump, so leftists hate Bibi. As a deep state permeates U.S. politics, so a deep state permeates Israeli politics. Of special note is an ongoing fight to bring about reforms in the judicial system that pro-reformers -- like Bibi -- say are necessary in order to keep intact the wills of the voting people and that anti-reformers -- leftists, deep staters, and the like -- say are pathways to fascism. Sound familiar? Making sense of all-things-Israel is Gol Kalev, on the ground in Israel and author of a new book, "Judaism 3.0," who says the Jewish state is on the cusp of big changes.
