Today’s show looks to broader national and international affairs. First, journalist Ramzy Baroud talks about Israel’s annexation plan and the current state of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign for Palestinian rights in the U.S.
Then, we discuss news updates from the American West with journalist Steve Horn, including recent wildfires in Arizona, the Navajo Nation’s COVID-19 crisis, and California Governor Gavin Newsom’s involvement in fracking.
Ramzy Baroud is a US-Palestinian journalist, media consultant, and editor of the Palestine Chronicle since 1999. He is the author of several books, most recently The Last Earth: A Palestinian Story (Pluto Press, 2018).
Steve Horn is a San Diego–based climate reporter and producer for The Real News Network. From 2011–2018, he worked as an investigative reporter for the climate and environmental news website DeSmog, and as a reporter and researcher for the Center for Media and Democracy’s PR Watch prior to that.
