Brig. Gen (Res) Amir Avivi has been the mainstay of the Israel’s Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) briefings. At the beginning of June at one of the briefings, he announced that he is stepping down from his position as chairman of IDSF in order to pursue a position in the next government.

Amir Avivi has served as a military lieutenant at the Defense Establishment Comptroller Unit, he was the commander of the Sagi Brigade and the chief of staff for Israeli general and politician Moshe Ya'alon.

He sees the coming Israeli elections as crucial for Israel to shaping its future.
