Jesus'/Yeshua's trial before the Sadducean leadership is over and they now deliver him to Pilate for Roman execution. But Pilate is not convinced of Yeshua's guilt. Too often we gloss over the subtleties of the back and forth questions and Jesus' silence. Pastor Jay unpacks this dramatic moment as it leads up to Yeshua's crucifixion.

Judas' end is a tragic event. Suicide is NEVER the answer even in the deepest despair. But there's more to Juda's final moments that a tragic example. It actually refers to two potent prophecies that spelled impending doom for the Jewish leadership, the Temple, Jerusalem, and the nation of Israel. Open your Bibles to Jeremiah 32 and Zechariah 11 and be prepared for amazement!

Why is it crucial that we understand the Jesus'/Yeshua's resurrection? Because it was real and it is a truth that is in everyone's future...and that means everyone's - saved and unsaved. We were never built todie, but to live for God's glory. Take a listen and be ENCOURAGED!

At this point in the Gospel, Yeshua has been arrested and is being brought before High Priest Caiaphas for trial. But Yeshua is not the only one going through a trial. Peter is as well. Both men are pressed for their testimonies - one speaks the truth (much to the dismay of the High Priest) and one...well, crumbles to dust under the pressure. This part of the account is deeply moving, gives incredible insights into God's cosmic plan, how Yeshua becomes our great High Priest, and brings hope to any of us who find ourselves suddenly pressed to "give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." (1 Peter 3:15)

To varying degrees, most of us hate the sense that we're not in control. When we first read Yeshua's arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, we get the sense that events are unfolding in such a way that carries Yeshua along, out of his control. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yeshua is in total control and fully committed to His Father's will and plan. How do we handle the seemingly uncontrollable times of life. Take a listen for some solid, life-stabilizing insights.

What do we do when we find ourselves in high-pressure situations? Most of us fret and panic. Some of us check-out and take a nap. Yeshua prayed. Pastor Jay takes us through Yeshua's prayer under pressure in the Garden of Gethsemane. There are wonderful reasons why this pressing time took place in Gethsemane, Gath Shemen, "the place of the olive press." It was in this moment that the fate of humanity was decided. And it has great lessons for all of us to embrace as well.

In our continuing series, Pastor Jay examines the pastoral function within the 1st century synagogue. If you have been following along in our series, you'll probably guess that the way we see pastors today is different than in Yeshua's day...and you would be right. In most churches today, pastors "run the show." Not so in the 1st c. synagogue. However, the pastoral ministry of this leadership function is still crucial to vital congregation life.

Like the Apostle, the Prophet is regarded as inactivated in Yeshua's church. Pastor Jay shows that prophets are given by Yeshua today just as they were given in the 1st c. New Covenant community. How d they function today? The same way they did in Yeshua's day! Take a listen and begin praying the Lord release even more Apostles and Prophets for the expansion of God's work on earth, the maturing of Yeshua's Body, and the completion of God's plan!

Apostles are looked upon today as a very spooky or intimidating leader! Nothing could be further from the truth! Today the discussion goes in two directions. 1) There are no apostles today. 2) Apostles exist and they are the top dogs of the church today. Both extremes are flat-out wrong! They do exist and they are servants who have a specific Yeshua-assigned job to carry out. Take a listen. You'll begin to see those in Yeshua's body who are obviously apostles and you'll be protected against some of today's self-proclaimed apostles seeking power and influence.
