Don’t choose to ignore your family member’s pain. If you see that a family member needs help, and you have it in your power to help them, then help your relative(s). You would want them to do the same for you in your time of need.

May we thank God for the riches of His grace today. Have you experienced the joy of praying with your kids or grandkids, too. I’ve learned a lot over the years about how to pray (and not to pray) with children. I hope to keep these things in mind as I look forward to praying with my grandchildren someday.

She graduated from Scotia Seminary for Girls in 1893 and founded what later became Bethune-Cookman College in Florida. She also worked to advance opportunities for Black women by serving as president of the Florida chapter of the National Association of Colored Women for many years. Dorothy I. Height (1912-2010) Born in Richmond, Virginia on March 24, 1912, Dorothy Irene Height committed her life to racial justice and gender equality. In high school, Height became politically active in social movement, participating in anti-lynching campaigns. She also showed great talent as an orator. Her skills as a speaker took her all the way to a national oratory competition. She won the event and was awarded a coveted college scholarship.
