Mivel Isten Kegyelme feltétel nélküli, mi határozza meg, hogy ki kapja a kegyelmet?
Sri Chinmoy: A hétköznapi életben minden feltételhez kötött: ha adsz nekem valamit, én is adok neked valamit. Amikor a Legfelsőbb Úr ad valamit, azt feltétel nélkül adja, és nem vár cserébe semmit. De ha bölcs vagy, te is odaadod Neki azt, amid van és azt, ami vagy, és akkor fogadni tudod, amit Ő ad. A végtelen óceán mindig kész odaadni a cseppnek mindent, hogy a csepp eggyé válhasson vele. Az óceán mindig kész arra, hogy befogadd őt. De ha te nem vagy kész odaadni az óceánnak azt a cseppet, ami vagy, akkor hogyan válhatsz óceánná?
A Legfelsőbb Úr folyamatosan zúdítja végtelen Békéjét, Fényét és Gyönyörét minden egyes emberre. De mi ezeket csak a Legfelsőbb iránti szeretetünk és a Legfelsőbb iránti szükségünk mértékben fogadjuk be.
Sok ember van a földön, aki azt mondja: “Ó Istenem, a Te örök Idődben élek. Hadd pihenjek. Hétköznapi életet fogok élni. Te majd megadod nekem a megvilágosodást, amikor akarod.” De ez helytelen hozzáállás. A felszabadulásért nagyon keményen kell dolgoznod minden másodpercben, napi huszonnégy órában. Azután át kell adnod magad Isten Akaratának. Akkor azt mondod: “Istenem, add meg nekem a felszabadulást a Te választott Órádban!” Miután megtettél mindent, amit csak tudtál, meglátod, hogy a megvalósulás nem azon múlik, hogy keményen dolgozol-e. Teljes mértékben Isten Kegyelmétől függ. De Ő csak akkor részesít Kegyelemben, ha úgy érzi, hogy megtettél minden tőled telhetőt. Ha eljátszottad a szerepedet, Ő is eljátsza majd a szerepét, megadva neked, amit akartál, sőt sokkal többet.
Nagyon könnyű azt mondani, hogy Isten Kegyelmével minden lehetséges. Ezt minden
spirituális mestertől hallottuk már. De ez a Kegyelem nem jön el boldog-boldogtalanhoz.
Ez a Kegyelem csak azokhoz érkezik el, akik valóban fürdeni akarnak napsütésben. Ha a
kereső kész a leggyorsabban futni, és feláldozni mindent, amije van, és ami ő maga, ha
minden percben kész Isten kedvéért lemondani mindenről, akkor számára semmi sem marad lehetetlen. Ha Isten felé akarsz futni, az isteni Kegyelem ott van benned, és az isteni Kegyelem működik érted.
Since God’s Grace is unconditional, what determines who will recieve the Grace?
Sri Chinmoy: In the ordinary human life, everything is always conditional: if you give me something, then I will give you something. When the Supreme gives, He gives unconditionally and does not expect anything in return. But if your wise, you will also give Him what you have and what you are, and then you will be able to receive from Him. The infinite ocean is always ready to give everything to the drop, so that the drop can become one with it. The ocean is always ready for you to receive it.But if you are not willing to give the drop that you are to the ocean, then how can you become the ocean?
The Supreme is constantly showering each and every individual with His infinite Peace, Light and Bliss. But we receive them only according to our love for the Supreme and our need for the Supreme.
There are many people on earth who say, “O God, I am in Your eternal Time. Let me take
rest. I will live an ordinary life. You give me illumination in Your own time.” But this is the wrong attitude. You have to work very hard every second, twenty-four hours a day, for liberation. Then you have to surrender to God, at Your choice God’s Will. You will say, “God at Your Hour grant me liberation.” After doing everything that you can, you will see that realisation does not depend on your working very hard. It entirely depends on God’s Grace.
But He will offer you Grace only when He feels that you have done your best. When you
have played your role, He will play His role by giving you what you wanted and infinitely
more.
It is very easy to say that by the Grace of God everything is possible. That we have
heard from every spiritual Master. But this Grace does not come for all and sundry. This
Grace comes only for those who really want to bask in its sunshine. If a seeker is prepared to run the fastest and sacrifice what he has and what he is, if at every moment he is
ready to give up everything for God, then for him nothing remains impossible. If you want to run to God, the divine Grace is within you and the divine Grace will operate for you.
