Episode 153: An Interview with Three Teenage Girls - Elvis, Kat, and Gertha - That Turns Out to Be One of the Best Interviews Yet for Helping Me Inch Closer to Identifying How We Begin to Heal Our Fractured Culture in the USA.
This interview was a lot of fun. As we moved along through the interview, I began throwing bigger and more difficult off-script questions to these three wonderful young ladies and, before we finished, they had helped me immensely in understanding the "how" of putting at least some portion of our culture back together and to prevent it from breaking more than it already has.
As is typical of most occasions when I turn on the mic, every imaginable obnoxious background noise congregated in the vicinity so I had to heavily filter this recording. The three young ladies I am interviewing have relatively small voices so it took tremendous effort amplify their voices while filtering out background noise at the same time without making them sound like we were all sitting in a tin can. I ask you, the listener, as it gets closer to the end of this episode, to ignore the background of the mower I could not fully remove without removing the voices of those in this interview. I was amazed by some of the depth and maturity in the content of much of what these three young ladies offered for their opinions and thoughts on some very serious matters pertaining to the health of our national culture, church, parenting, and life in general, and I strongly believe that every person who hears this interview will be better for having listened to it.
I wrapped up this interview with more hope for the future of our culture than I did when we started. I hope you walk away with the same.

Episode 151: Andy, a Pastor in Ministry for 28 Years Who Formerly Went by the Name "Anonymous" On This Podcast, Sets Aside Some Time to Discuss Jesus and The Bible in Our Modern Culture.
Andy, who formerly went by the alias "Anonymous" on this podcast, comes back to discuss with me the cultural relevance of Jesus and the Bible in our modern world. I have talked with a lot of people about two of my greatest passions in life - Jesus and the Bible - over the decades, but in the past month an unusually significant number of people have approached me with a lot of serious life questions about both, seemingly out of the blue. And since I can't ignore patterns or breaks in typical patterns, which I have shared in many episodes of this podcast, I went to a trusted friend who leads a large Christian congregation, a man whom I have grown to deeply trust over the years, to have a discussion about this very matter to see if perhaps this anomaly is isolated with me or if I am witnessing a cultural shift.
Andy is an interesting pastor, namely in the fact that he doesn't pass judgment upon those whom he meets, he rarely meets a stranger, loves the Bible, loves people, and has had the patience to not only believe in me when seemingly almost no one else did and when I was near the end of myself, but to have my back and remain my friend for 11 years now, which is no small feat unto itself because I can be a major unintentional PITA because of the jagged edge that life has carved into me through an exceedingly painful road I would never have chosen for myself to travel, but would travel again in a heartbeat. He is a man who has earned my sincere respect and there are not a lot of men about whom I can state that.
I did a timelapse with Andy in episodes 122 and 123 that, while only two episodes in length, spanned almost a year of his life through an exceedingly difficult period of his life and leadership of a rapidly growing church. I strongly recommend you jump back and listen to a Christian leader handling hardship in an entirely vulnerable and admirable manner in these two episodes.

Episode 147: Rory Uhtredson Returns to Discuss the Power of Words as a Blessing or Curse, Both in Management of Others and in His Personal Life. Then We Discuss Exorcism and How It Changed His Perception of Reality.
Rory Uhtredson is one of the best men I know. No one would guess that this man of infectious encouragement buried his young daughter only five years ago. His story is one of triumph and how to face adversity with courage and faith. Rory has the receipts to prove it. His story was the topic for episode 110.

Episode 144: My Dog and I Just Encountered A Being In The Woods. Both of Us Are Still Disturbed and Neither of Us Will Ever Be the Same. Changing Name and Course of This Podcast. Essentially, This Episode is the Launch of a New Podcast.
After devoting the past decade to being a voice for men and recording most of the 150+ episodes of this podcast to try to bring attention to men's issues, I am shifting gears to run down the road of seeming randomness that isn't random, the road for which I was made to run down. Culture is complex. I'm not ditching what keeps us grounded and I am not in pursuit of the fantastic or dramatic. I am going to be reaching out to do my best to collect it all. Because somehow it all ties together.
I will likely be unpublishing a lot of previous content and changing course dramatically mid-stream, which will be a mess, it will be confusing to new listeners because the numbering of the episodes and content will not make a lot of sense once I change the name of the podcast, and any sane person would say I should simply start from scratch again. But I don't care. Previous content is part of this journey and I'm not abandoning where I came from.
I'll let listeners know when the name change will take place. It'll be soon. Stay tuned.

Formerly a podcast devoted to helping good men and fathers have a voice in our culture, but re-branded in early 2024 to enter a wide-open field of other topics that I believe affect our severely…
Topics will vary, but are likely to include:
· encounters with the unusual from the heavenly and underworld realms
· culture and community
· questions about the historical and current narratives in which we live and move
· building stronger relationships between the men, women, and children of our nation
· the Bible, especially the parts that too many churches avoid
· the “Mudflood,” "Chemtrails," Missing 411, and similar subjects that are not mainstream
My hope, since I launched this no-budget podcast in 2021, is to play at least a small part in helping our culture heal, despite my limited abilities. Because I believe that…
A united people who stubbornly view and treat each other as fellow countrymen, as neighbors, deprives tyrants what they need most to rule over us.
