it DOES matter

What is depression? Is there hope when all seems lost? Who can help? Depression is hard to overcome ourselves.  Joining our podcast today is Pastor Keith Carnahan who has been in the ministry of counseling and preaching for over 50 years.   ”it DOES matter” what you are going through because the Lord wants to help.

Discerning when to set boundaries and went to enlarge borders can be tricky decisions. “it DOES matter” when, who, why, and how that happens in relationships.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

“29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:” Ephesians 4:29-31

It’s all right to feel hurt when we have been hurt.  Whether pain has been self-inflicted or brought on by others, the Lord always uses that pain to help us rely on Him and to experience His grace.

Life is comparable to a marathon.  We gotta go the distance even with resistance.  Ups and downs and ebbs and flows help us to grow in our walk with the Lord.  The progress at times does not always seem traceable, but it’s definitely being observed by God in heaven who is helping and blessing.

Great to have Melissa Martinez, a Boston marathon runner, on our show.  She has gone the distance that most of us will never experience in running, but she has also proven God faithful through challenges.  Hear her practical tips of how to keep on course through the marathon of life!
