It Ends with Us Movie Review - a bad book adaptation
Dive into my review of It Ends With Us, the first Colleen Hoover novel adapted for the big screen. This emotional drama follows Lily Bloom (Blake Lively) as she overcomes a traumatic childhood to start a new in Boston and pursue her dream of opening her own business. When she meets charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni), their intense connection is challenged by haunting memories of her parents’ relationship. The reappearance of Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar), complicates things further, pushing Lily to rely on her own strength to make an impossible choice for her future.
Directed by Justin Baldoni and produced by Alex Saks, Jamey Heath, and Christy Hall, It Ends With Us features a stellar cast including Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Amy Morton, and Brandon Sklenar. Despite its star-studded cast and compelling premise, I found the movie to be just okay and not a strong adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s original book.
