Well you know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixon. Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen…but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?

Of course you do….you’ve sung the song…you’ve watched the claymation…and you have probably read the book  — or some variation of the story, hundreds of times. You have seen the decorations in every town across the globe…

But do you know the story behind the story? Fiction often mimics real life in strange ways and the story behind the story certainly has some of the same elements.
