It has been 2 years since I spoke with JP McLean. She was very excited to speak with me, and I felt the same way..so the feelings were mutual. When Keepin It Real w/Caramel spoke JP McLean, it was a pleasure speaking with JP. We had a ball catching up. She is full of life, and by way, the conversation was very fun. JP (Jo-Anne) McLean is a bestselling author of urban fantasy and supernatural thrillers. She is a Global Book Award winner, a CIBA finalist, and has received honours from the Eric Hoffer Book Awards, the Wishing Shelf Book Awards, the Whistler Independent Book Awards, and the Victoria Writers’ Society.

Raised in Toronto, Ontario, JP has lived in various parts of North America, from Mexico and Arizona to Alberta and Ontario. JP holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business, is a certified scuba diver, an avid gardener, and a voracious reader. She had a successful career inhuman resources before turning her attention to writing. JP lives with her husband on Denman Island, which is nestled between the coast of British Columbia and Vancouver Island. JP love of reading started early. She has memories of sitting in her father's lap with a picture book from the library and dragging her finger along the page under words that her Dad would help her sound out.
