The Bible is a Spirit-inspired collection of writings that tells one unified story: who God is, who we are, what went wrong, and how God saves. When we understand God’s story, we start to make sense of our own. That story begins in Genesis, where God reveals His heart and purpose for humanity. In Genesis 1, we see that God is good, and He created a “very good” world for people to thrive in relationship with Him and one another. From the start, He gives humanity identity (made in His image) and purpose (to fill the earth with His goodness). We were never meant to be passive recipients of blessing, but partners in God’s good design.
