Trigger Warning: sexual assault, trauma responses, grief, self-blame. Listen with care!Trigger Warning: sexual assault, trauma responses, grief, self-blame. Listen with care!Trigger Warning: sexual assault, trauma responses, grief, self-blame!
In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month:
This episode is for the ones who survived and never said a word.
For the ones who went back to their abuser and hated themselves for it.
For the ones carrying shame that was never theirs.
I’m sharing my story — the trauma, the silence, the unbearable grief, and the choices I made in the name of survival. I’m talkin’ about what no one tells you: how sexual trauma impacts your mind, your body, your relationships, and your sense of self.
Some days I forget it happened. Other days, especially around the anniversary, I feel like I’m drowning.
I want you to know that however you’re navigating this — whether you’ve shut down, gone numb, become hypersexual, or found yourself going back just to feel powerful again — you are not crazy. You are surviving.
And you are not alone.
It wasn’t your fault. It was never your fault.
Grab your liquor and your bud- shit's about to get real...
