For episode number two of "Italian Village - The Podcast," we have the pleasure of interviewing Lyn Basco, a girl who, since adolescence, decided to become a nun, learning Italian, Latin and Spanish. She entered a convent in Manila and, after five years, she was offered a path of growth and formation in Rome, where she spent two years, followed by three years in Puglia. In Santa Maria di Leuca, she took temporary vows, but when she was one step away from perpetual vows, she was hit by terrible news: the loss of her grandfather and father, whom she would never see again.
Shaken by this tragedy, Lyn questioned her entire life. After a period of deep reflection, she decided to give up the path to becoming a nun and returned to the Philippines. Her life then took her to Hong Kong and Singapore, going through a storm of emotions. His story is a very particular and practically unique personal journey, which tells how a dramatic event can profoundly transform our life choices.
