On January 20th 2012 Etta James died. This was a very sad day at Itchy Feet HQ, as her songs have shaken the walls at many a party of ours. So - to honour her memory we've compiled the 8th episode of the infamous Itchy Feet Podcasts, entitled: DIVASThis has been made by our resdient DJ, Leo Bedford, who has put together a tape consisting of songs made by all our favouite Divas of the 50s, 60s and 70s. A couple of years back I got a cover record of Hit the Road Jack by Mo' Horizons. Ever since then I've been midly obsessed with Brazilian big beat, as well as the general covers and remixes coming out of South America. The most popular installment of the Itchy Feet Podcasts moves towards more modern music. This is an odd combination of tunes which Itchy Feet resident Leo Bedford was listening to at the beginning of the summer 2010. So after the success of our first Remixes episode we've decided to put another little one together to celebrate our up and coming Carnival party in London. This is a new part of Itchy Feet named Itchy Feet's Dirty Sister. As previously explained, every now and again our DJs come accross the odd modern record they believe deserves some air time. The result is a new style of DJing to emerge from under the Itchy Feet banner. Itchy Feet's Dirty Sister plays a mix of remixes, mash ups, electroswing and big beat party tunes.
