I'm refocusing my efforts on an older app, GoVJ. 

The app is due a redesign, and the codebase needs a rebuild in order to support this better. Here's my approach for doing so!

WWDC19 has landed... These are my initial reactions to everything from the Keynote, and what it could mean for me and the apps I develop!

AirSynth v1.0 is live in the App Store. It's been a whirlwind few days, and I've had some fantastic press coverage to launch the app.

In this episode I talk through a little of that, receiving negative reviews in the App Store, and the positive feedback and constructive criticisms that will help me make it even better!

AirSynth was submitted for approval to the App Store, but hit a small hurdle; rejection!

AirSynth is now at it's golden master stage ahead of a 1.0 release!

My first build of AirSynth has been through the TestFlight approval process. I’ve now had the first feedback on the app from testers recruited from Twitter. It’s been a worthwhile process to have user feedback for the app, and that feedback has called out some show stopping bugs. These are pieces of friction that I need to fix ahead of releasing the app to the App Store. Full steam ahead!

I’m just about to send the first build out for TestFlight testing, and I cannot get into my developer account! During development, Apple changed their process for developer authentication to require two factor authentication (2FA). HoweverI need to wait for a couple of days to regain access to my developer account to enable 2FA. As I’ve recruited a small team of beta-testers from Twitter, and this means I cannot send builds out, this is somewhat frustrating. Chalk it up as a lesson learnt!

A couple of weeks on since the last episode, and I’ve spent a bit of time whilst on vacation leave on my theremin project “AirSynth”. With a deep breath, the app is on the last major push of development. I’m nearly ready for beta-testers, but the app needs to be pretty close to release before I’m happy to put it through TestFlight. A few more days into the development of AirSynth. It’s all about the architecture, code generation and setting up coordinator objects within the app.
