One of the unexpected consequences of all food service moving to takeout and delivery is that restaurants are now allowed to offer takeout and delivery beer, wine, and cocktails!
It’s New York State’s nod to the fact that many restaurants make the most profit when they sell you a drink with your meal. But it means as long as you’re buying food, the restaurant can sell you a bottle or growler of beer, a glass or a bottle of wine, a bloody mary with brunch, or that Taco Tuesday margarita you’ve been looking forward to.
