For about a year, Eduardo Acevedo has been making authentic Mexico City style tacos at his small stand outside the Ithaca ReUse Center on Elmira Road, with a couple of pop-ups in Press Bay Alley in front of a storefront he’s been working on moving to, and 14850 Dining has learned that Tacos CDMX has now opened in this new location.

The Alley Cat Café opened its doors five years ago, after Browncoat Cat Rescue announced plans to build “a fantastic coffee shop, with delicious beverages, and tasty treats” in the front half of their original Seneca Street location, and “two rooms for fabulous feline frolicking” in the back half. They’re celebrating their fifth birthday in a new location on North Cayuga Street, in the historic Clinton Hall building.

Everyone’s a winner when Foodnet gets together chefs and cheese and community members to enjoy the combination, and the non-profit organization, which delivers nutritious meals to area residents who need them, is now selling tickets for the tenth annual Mac ‘n Cheese Bowl.
