"What's your problem with patriarchy?" is a question I was asked by a member of our class. 

A great question, on reflection!

So, between Judah and the Apostle Matthew, we want to ask and possibly answer this question: is there a problem with patriarchy?

We complete our study of Judah this week!

In Genesis 44, we see a totally different person from the man we looked at in chapter 38! We discuss exactly what may have happened to Judah between these chapters in the Bible!

Finally! Tamar confronts Judah and we investigate his response! We also take a look at how prostitution has and is being viewed by our culture in this week's class! Recorded on Jan. 14, 2018.

Tamar takes matters into her own hands! Please remember that Tamar is honored later in the Bible by David, his son, Absalom, at Ruth & Boaz's wedding, and last but not least, Matthew in his gospel!!

Question: how does the Church deal/think/feel with S-E-X?

Talking about Tamar and Onan's 'relationship' can produce a plethora of feelings! They relate directly to our view of sex!

In this episode, we investigate why Judah ran away from Jacob and his family (HINT: could it be his 'Father Womb'?). And we are introduced to Tamar. What was her 'reputation' in the rest of the Bible? Let's find out!
