Do you know what is perhaps the most playful, the most joyous and most wonderful story in all the Bible?

Do you know that wine is involved? A LOT of wine? 

And did you know that Jesus invites us to savor and enjoy the most exclusive wine you’ve ever tasted?

Jesus comes to us and as he did with the barrels of wine and overflows us, fills us to the brim, and offers us, not just a little, but abundance. 

When you yield yourself to Jesus, you keep the party going!

You have highs and lows, ups and downs, and maybe even struggle with depression

And when you’re down, when your self-image is low, when you are emotionally exhausted do you find that your faith suffers too, and that your spiritual life takes a step back?

There is a connection between our emotions and spiritual warfare. 

The good news is that there are some steps we can take to ward of the enemy’s attempts to mess with our mind and our heart. 

Imagine if there was social media and media in general in the days of Jesus. Imagine the social media John the Baptist generated: He’s got thousands of subscribers on YouTube and his Instagram site was blowing up and all kinds of comments—good and bad on were on Twitter (X).

It was wild!  He was wild drawing all kinds of attention. 

And then Jesus shows up and the attention turns to Jesus. 

Imagine the social media attention, not to mention the news stations.

 Always looking to make news, always looking to perhaps get some kind of trigger comment that will go viral or all the clickbait questions. 

The “interviewers” were mostly the Pharisees, the Priests, and the Sadducees. All looking to catch Jesus or his disciples in some kind of controversy, and some kind of viral moment that would get out quickly to the rest of the community and take them down. 

Imagine these interviews as if they occurred today. And yet, there IS something insidious happening today on social media.
