It's A Lot!

#015 wasn't too long coming, yet almost didn't happen at all! But it is here, and with a new take on things. I'll be using Pirate Studios going forward to record my mixes, utilising their club-standard Pioneer DJ NXS2 setup to get the best sound I can.

For this mix, I enlisted friend of 'It's A Lot' MRfame - head honcho at UKGU - to go B2B for 80 minutes of all things UKG.

It was a blast, and I'm hoping to get more DJs/MCs into the studio for future mixes.

#013 was always going to be done by me. It's been my lucky number forever and has a funny link to stages in my life. I even got married on the 13th August (unfortunately not a Friday!).

This mix will likely be the last from me for a while as life starts to get exciting with the arrival of my first child due in October, but I will continue to help push new music and get new mixes on here whenever I can.

Big up all the supporters, you all mean a lot to me and what I've been trying to do the last few years.

We are back with a brand-new 60 minute mix from Rocford, who has been pushing the deeper, bumpier side of UKG - closer to the original House and Garage vibe (or should that now be #GarageHouse?).

This is the second mix we've had from a Sub.FM DJ, and Rocford has a show on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 12-2am, which shows how strong the station is with the sound of UKG.

This mix brings us the best of the more soulful-side of UKG, with both new and old school blended perfectly. With the weather as good as it has been this is a perfect addition to your sunshine playlist.

#011 is here - this time with Dan T bringing the heat. A regular in the South East scene, he hosts a fortnightly show on Cambridge 105 (alternating with DJ Ree) as well as regularly doing live streams from the Hiive Collective HQ. We asked him to provide a bit of information for those that don't know what he's been up to...

Bio

"I started out as a DJ and MC back in 1993 as a young man developing his sound. After some experimentation it was discovered he had real passion and talent for mixing UK Garage and House. Over time this has developed into a more complete portfolio of House, Garage and Bass! My trade mark sound is sexy vocals and banging basslines! I have played at many events and radio stations over the years including: Garage Nation, Twice as Nice and #TEAMUKG"

About the mix

"As always a blend of old and new UK Garage that I’m feeling right now with sexy vocals and banging basslines, every mix is a journey and a story ! I Hope you are feeling this one!"
