From the nearly nonexistent budget of Hardware Wars, and classics like Troops, George Lucas in Love, and, of course, Robot Chicken, you get Star Wars and comedy…. What's not to love?

To conclude this year's Geektoberfest, we watched the modern classic horror film “It Follows”. This one gets under our skin and plays with that innate fear of something slowly coming to get you, Barbara! The cinematography is distinctly unnerving and that score by Disasterpiece adds extra shivers!

Today we were joined once again by Brant's wife, Valerie, to discuss the life and works of one of the greatest American writers. Poe's work influenced countless writers, artists, and dreamers with tales and poems of the macabre, love, satire, detective stories, hoaxes, and even fan fiction. Our research found he was so much more than the author of “The Raven”.

Today, we sampled one of Fanta's Halloween-themed flavors: Chucky's Punch.

 Continuing with our Geektoberfest episodes, we watched all 36 episodes of The Simpsons’ Halloween Special. These season treats use a basic "anything goes” plot, while paying homage to Kubrick, Poe, Del Toro, and dozens of other spooky icons, all while keeping it Simpsons hilarious! Quoth the Raven: “Eat my shorts!”

Today we added heavy whipping cream to a couple of cans of Great Value Root Beer.

The final Linkin Park album with Chester Bennington and Rob Bourdon, and a noticeable departure from the previous LP sound. The album combines lyrics full of self reflection, aspects of mental health, and relationships, with a much more pop rock sound. It is impossible to not consider and respect Chester's final contribution in retrospect.
