Disclaimer: I know we posted a bit late, we are seniors in high school gearing up for our last year. So please be patient with our asses thank you >33 + (Also please ignore the mispronunciations we made we were having a brain malfunctioning, technical issues, and other randomness included which exudes mentioning of SA of Viet women.)
Hi, y’all! We are here to talk about as two different individuals that come from different cultures and, our experiences as well. As one of our co-hosts Emi will talk about what’s it’s like growing up as a Viet-American in a Hispanic populated city and how that has affected her identity as a person and, for Anne what’s it like growing up in a culture where it’s way different to where is she from.
In this episode, we will talk about other broad issues regarding culture, how social media has affected culture, individual experiences, how one’s identity is affected by their cultures and their environment, and how being POC can have a perspective that differs relating to culture… and what comes down to it.
Hope y’all enjoy this episode this hits very close to us as two individuals that are way DIFFERENT from each other and, how we came together because of it ❤️.
In the second episode * drumrolls awkwardly * we talked about our fashion style as children and now, how it has been inspired by our peers, how fashion has affected our self-esteem, social media and how it helped improve our sense of style, and the type of media we consume, especially cultures we draw inspiration from...and no, this isn't a case of cultural appropriation, that's for another crowd to pick wars with...anyways I hope y'all enjoy the episode! Also, feel free to watch Mina Le's fashion analysis video, in which she discusses fast fashion and how social media influences fashion trends. We didn't discuss the topics covered in Mina's video because we got a little off track....However, we believe it is important that y'all are aware of these issues, so we will leave a link down below:
