The Lindsay Clancy jury reports a deadlock after four days of deliberations. I explain the latest from the Massachusetts trial, what happens if jurors cannot reach a unanimous verdict and why the case remains an unimaginable tragedy centered on three children and a disputed postpartum-psychosis defense.
Then, Below Deck Mediterranean’s Nathan Gallagher fails to appear in court, is convicted in his absence and becomes the subject of an arrest warrant. Plus, Danny Booko and Nia Sanchez announce they are leaving The Valley—and I am not pretending to be disappointed.
Also yappening: Netflix announces The One About Matthew Perry; Raygun revisits her viral Olympic breakdancing routine; Dancing with the Stars reveals Julia Stiles, Harry Shum Jr., Tatyana Ali and the full Season 35 cast; Tiger Woods reaches a plea deal; and “Mr. Swift” Travis Kelce shares new details about marrying Taylor Swift.

Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend, Jim Curtis, opens up about joining her famously close circle of friends—and why their relationship appears increasingly serious. Plus, Miley Cyrus seemingly drops her famous last name as she launches a new musical era.
Then, is Julia Stiles really joining Dancing with the Stars Season 35? I separate reported casting from ABC’s officially confirmed lineup ahead of the full reveal.
Finally, the Love Island USA reunion becomes the Love Island “Snooze-Union.” I discuss its unnecessary Universal Studios detour, Andy Cohen’s unanswered “lustful” question and the couples who revealed they’ve broken up.
Also yappening: Lionel Richie’s reported hospitalization, Mel Gibson’s ASL-interpreter apology and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Reece Weaver heading to Broadway in Chicago.

Randy Quaid is furious about Anne Hathaway joining Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder 2—and has somehow forced me to to talk about him. I unpack his complaints about the “woke” casting, his demand that Nicole Kidman return and why Anne’s pregnancy has nothing to do with her ability to play a race-team owner.
Then, Taylor Swift donates $50,000 to Ashley Taunton, a mother critically injured while saving teenagers after a highway crash. Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival raises $20 million for organizations supporting women and girls, with help from Melinda French Gates, Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morissette and Sarah McLachlan.
Also yappening: The Kelly Clarkson Show ends after seven seasons; Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen host the long-awaited Love Island USA Season 8 reunion; Netflix orders the Manifest spinoff Arrivals; and Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” reaches one billion Spotify streams.
Plus, quick updates on Brittany Cartwright’s temporary restraining order against Jax Taylor, Tony Romo’s OWI citations, Naya Rivera’s son Josey Dorsey landing his first movie role, Billie Eilish officiating Finneas and Claudia Sulewski’s wedding, and Jordyn Woods defending Jaden Smith’s place in her bridal celebrations.

Laura Owens has pleaded guilty to four felonies in the false-pregnancy scandal involving former Bachelor Clayton Echard and Greg Gillespie.
In this special weekend edition, I recap how a disputed paternity claim became a years-long legal battle involving inconclusive DNA tests, falsified evidence, civil-court findings and 14 felony charges. I also explain exactly what Owens admitted, why ten additional charges are expected to be dismissed and what she could face when sentenced on October 23rd.
Plus, I highly recommend Love Trapped, Stephanie Young’s riveting investigative podcast chronicling the Laura Owens and Clayton Echard case.

Brittany Cartwright has reportedly obtained a temporary domestic-violence restraining order against Jax Taylor. I carefully examine the serious allegations described in the reported court filing, what happened with Brittany’s emergency custody request and why The Valley can no longer treat this relationship as ordinary reality-TV drama. The allegations have not been proven at a final hearing, and Jax has not publicly responded to this filing.
Then, Hulu releases the explosive Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 trailer. The shortened five-episode season centers on Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen’s legal crisis, fractured MomTok friendships and the troubling way volatile relationships become entertainment.
Also today: remembering Peter Cullen, the legendary voice of Optimus Prime and Eeyore; Ricky Schroder faces backlash over his Dolly Parton comments; Gladys Knight reduces her performance schedule; Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson turns 21 while pursuing a nursing career; and Jelly Roll delivers a perfect response to Ozempic speculation.

Leah Remini is officially joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills—and RHOBH Season 16 may never be the same. I break down what the outspoken King of Queens star could bring to the cast alongside fellow newcomer Tracy Tutor.
Amanda Batula and West Wilson are still together, but their romantic summer photos haven’t erased my discomfort with how the relationship began—or what it cost Ciara Miller. That leads directly into the explosive Let’s Marry Harry reunion, where Amber Mozo confronted Harry Jowsey over their collapsed two-month marriage and conflicting relationship timelines.
Also today: Busy Philipps reveals her recovery from two brain surgeries; Taylor Swift personally invites Owen Thiele to her wedding; Rupert Grint returns as Ron Weasley; Harry Styles honors Dolly Parton; and Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reunite for Practical Magic 2.

Tim Curry has died at 80. In this special remembrance episode, I look back at the singular actor behind Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Wadsworth in Clue and the terrifying Pennywise in Stephen King’s It.
I share why Clue became part of my childhood with my sister, how Tim Curry’s Pennywise still haunts me after reading It on the middle-school bus, and the strange timing of recently watching a Rocky Horror-themed party on Next Gen NYC.
I also celebrate Curry’s extraordinary work in Annie, Legend, Home Alone 2, Muppet Treasure Island, Spamalot, FernGully and The Wild Thornberrys—as well as the perseverance he demonstrated after suffering a major stroke in 2012.
Tim Curry could be glamorous, frightening, absurd and hilarious—sometimes in the same scene. There was no one else quite like him.

The world continues to mourn Dolly Parton. I reflect on her remarkable legacy, the Imagination Library, the fortune she chose to give away and her family’s request that fans honor her by helping put books into children’s hands. I also discuss the presidential order lowering flags to half-staff and why there will simply never be another Dolly.
Then, Taylor Swift looks back at 20 years of songwriting during her full Recording Academy Icon Sessions interview, while she and Travis Kelce reportedly honor Dolly’s legacy with a major donation to the Imagination Library.
Also in today’s pop-culture catch-up: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrive in the United Kingdom with Archie and Lilibet; HBO Max releases the first teaser for Season 3 of The Pitt; members of the Heroes cast reunite to celebrate Hayden Panettiere’s life; and Dan Stevens lands the title role in Amazon Prime Video’s new RoboCop series.
Finally, I discuss the latest episode of Below Deck Mediterranean and why watching Nathan Gallagher feels very different in light of the serious domestic-violence charges reported in Australia. I also cover the arrest of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. These allegations involve minors and remain unproven; an arrest is not a conviction.

Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80.
In this special remembrance episode, I’m looking back at the extraordinary life of the singer, songwriter, actor, businesswoman and philanthropist who traveled from Locust Ridge, Tennessee, to the very center of American culture.
From “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors” and “I Will Always Love You” to 9 to 5, Steel Magnolias and Dollywood, Dolly built a career that transcended country music. I’m also remembering the brilliant businesswoman behind the rhinestones, her nearly 60-year marriage to Carl Dean and the generosity that may become her greatest legacy—including the Imagination Library, disaster relief and her support of medical research.
Dolly leaves behind far more than an astonishing catalog of music. She leaves jobs, homes rebuilt after disaster and hundreds of millions of books placed into the hands of children around the world.
Rest peacefully, Dolly. Thank you for leaving the world more colorful than you found it.

Could Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barry really be heading back to the big screen? I’m breaking down the early development of a How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sequel—including what is confirmed, what isn’t, and why I refuse to accept a sequel without Kate Hudson, Matthew McConaughey, and the love fern.
I’m also celebrating Sterling Point’s speedy Season 2 renewal and discussing Sandra Bullock’s deeply personal reflections on Bryan Randall’s private battle with ALS, the care she created for him at home, and how she helped her children process his illness and death.
Then, I have an update on Perez Hilton’s recovery before we get into today’s Quick Yaps: Sydney Sweeney goes full Tom Cruise, Margaret Qualley’s soleless Chanel shoes divide the internet, Blake Lively almost forgets to button her pants during a hair tutorial, Hailey Bieber gives Justin’s new headphones a very strategic soft launch, and Khloé Kardashian’s new reality show receives a rough early response from viewers.
