We dive deep into the stereotypes of homelessness and its connection with drug addiction as well as the ongoing debate about organisations ‘enabling’ homelessness through handing out free essentials. We touch upon the language bias between genders when it comes to work and leadership, we discuss the struggles of being a women in today’s society but also share ways you can challenge the social stigmas and everyday sexism.
In this episode we reunite with Byron Donovan and Muhammad Malik - two lovely gentlemen we met at an event two years ago doing work around mental health, mindfulness and helping people become the best version of themselves. We focus on the importance of practicing mindfulness, journaling, our experiences with coming out of bad blips, taking baby steps when caring for our mental health, acknowledging our feelings and staying motivated by being consistent with our actions.
We invited two fellow founders tackling homelessness, Catherine Shelley from The People Project and Hugo from the Cardon Banfield Foundation, to discuss the current issues around homelessness and the ways in which we can challenge those negative perceptions and stereotypes. Hugo shares his personal experience with being homeless and the importance of acknowledgement whilst Kate shares what she has learnt from regularly speaking to people experiencing homelessness and how her Instagram gives them a platform to share their story.

They talk us through the current sustainable fashion movement, how you can become more conscious with fashion, their predictions for the future of fashion and the importance of acting like pollinators to change the norms around us.
