and while this is fundamentally a relational card, the energy is drawing you inward... checking on your own systems of self-relating.

how do you hold your ever-expanding desires, your longing heart, your yearning to create more beauty, more love, more art in the world? how do you speak to and encourage the truth that you will always want more?

six is the energy of harmony, of love, of beauty, of art.

may you find all of the above this week and when you do find it, may you breath into it and let yourself rest in the goodness just a little longer then usual.

bringing us the energy of the morning glory... opening when conditions are just right, and closing when there is too much OR not enough light.

the sun is the card of illumination, joy, light and confidence... so much beauty and life-giving energy. and also the possibility of TOO much heat.

notice the places you are warmed and the places you yearn for warmth... the places that allow you to relax open and the ones that are just too much and your body tenses.

and MOST importantly, watch how you speak to yourself about your reactions... where are you judging your reaction instead of honoring it's intelligence?

the sweet voice of "do you see me?" came through and the tender warmth that comes when heart recognizes heart. no matter how wild the world, we will always find warmth with each other. especially when we are willing to look.

that ten of swords swept away any illusions. but no one said a tenth sword piercing our spine would be easy.

so not easy, not pain free... but very complete.

the king of pentacles follows this with a two sided message:

one, a call forward to engage with your true work. whatever you are master of, own it and stop hesitating to step into your full power and authority around it and in your life.

two, watch out for the ways materiality can lull you into complacency, inertia or turning a blind eye.

this is a double dose of earth energy... so a reminder that when the human world fails us, the earth remains AND that being rich with material resources can be its own seductive limitation.

so touch earth this week. notice where you are shying away from fully stepping into your own authority. and re-engage with the work you are here to do.

no more illusions. only the work to be done.

ok boo. ten of swords. it doesn't get any deader.

ten of swords is when the energy moves out of the dark night of the nine of swords and just finds completion. it might have been crazy painful, but it's done now.

the eight year has had us in this funny energy of wash and repeat... going round and round feeling like we've done this before, we've been here before, why is this still happening?

and the justice and the sun are with us in November overall, but starting the month with the ten of swords is like the universe saying... " and, scene!"

the nightmare is over, the monster is dead and we see sun on the horizon.

look to the east, look to the life ahead and be sure you are ready for the clarity and illumination to come as the new day is born.

the ten of swords might be a violent, almost obscene image, but it's hyperbole is the point. this is not a place we return from. nothing survives the tenth sword and that is it's own sweet relief, that is it's own liberation.

the first light of dawn awaits.

you made important promises to yourself in september... promises that are meant to support your growth and show your beautiful soul the respect and love it deserves.

october has been a fever dream of fire energy and maybe you find yourself a little off track or a little focused elsewhere.

the star, with deep love, reminds you that you made those promises, decided to move differently, for very important reasons and it's asking you to recall and regroup.

november is bringing in balance and light- maybe even joy- and it's asking you to be ready. to gather the best of you back to you.

lastly... you don't have to KNOW the path ahead to know you are game to walk it. trust your guides and trust life to be the magnificent co-creative force you seek.

ok, I like this movement.

the four of wands brings stability, containership and declaration to our passion and our desire. we call it the marriage card because it takes the desire for union and it draws a sacred space and covenant around that impulse.

the four of wands takes the momentum, optimism and enthusiasm of the knight and makes it something stable and safe and sacred.

like one crazy knight is carrying a flame through the woods and the four of wands is the companion who builds the fire pit, chops the wood, brings the snacks and blankets.

it's giving this flame a place to live and be sustained.

something you are seeing clearly- something you not only want but have a fierce willingness to fight for- showed up. and this week brings you the resources and mindfulness to consider how this could be cultivated, nourished and maintained.

this whole vibe was giving feeling your cheeks flush with life on a cold day. your heat in a cool world. how truly alive and vital you are and how good that feels.

it's a homecoming, in all ways.

celebrate as you will, but pleased celebrate that you are alive and here and the sun shines and you have meals to enjoy and people to love and live with. life may feel volatile right now- but it is life, and you are here- heart pumping, skin warm.

that's the vibe this week and it's a good one. the knight of wands can be a little too much love 'em and leave 'em sometimes. but let's not underestimate the relentless power of driving desire and the undeniable nature of life itself.

we want. and when we want enough, when we feel the rightness of our desire bone deep- as this knight does- then we enter the realm of "ain't no mountain high enough" to keep us from meeting the people and places and things and art we desire to meet.

and the only reason our sexy man blows out of town in a hurry is because he seeks LIFE and he seeks the fuel he needs to stoke the mighty fire of VITALITY.

can he make a mess? sure. can you fault him for seeking to squeeze every delicious drop from this sweet precious life? how could you.
