Halloween Is sadly misunderstood (holiday)? Religious zealots pressure schools to take Halloween celebrations out of the schools because they think it's some form of devil worship, but it's not – it's not even Halloween, it's "Samhain" pronounced sow-en, and it's just a celebration of the colder season to come, when spring vegetation dies. Hence the very loose connection to death.
Death is a part of life after all, and celebrating it by carving pumpkins is not exactly paganism, although some used to think that it could scare away bad spirits. Things developed, and we kinda got connected with Mexico's Day of the Dead, which is certainly festive.
In any case, this still does not mean that witches, who are still sorely misunderstood and mistakenly connected to this holiday are bad. Although that's how they're always portrayed, and we only see the good witch in the Wizard of Oz. I think we need more information on the subject, so I invited my favorite Good Witch.
