The Arthur G. Dozier School for boys was a reform school operated in Marianna, Florida from 1900 to 2011. The school gained it's reputation for abuse, beatings, rapes, torture, and even murder of students by staff.

On February 5, 2007, American naval flight officer and NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak drove from Houston, TX to Orlando, FL, wearing a diaper to avoid bathroom stops along the way, carrying disguises and weapons. Her destination was the Orlando airport. He unknowing target was a U.S. Air Force Captain named Colleen Shipman.
