Written as somewhat of a diss record to heavily mysoginistic music and musicians during the early 90s, the dance track struck a chord with the general public, peaking at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1994. Its explict content and Gillette's scathingly convincing delivery are one for the books, but aside from it going viral a few times due to a performance of the song on a Brazillian children's show, people don't seem to remember it.

Initially released in 1980 to much controversy due to its opening lines about courting a minor, the song has the distinction of not only being a hit once hitting the #11 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1980, but twice in the same decade, thanks in part to a resurgence in popularity in 1989 (#20 Billboard Hot 100). Is there more to the man than just the controversy or does the song's infamy outlive its performer?
